The coronavirus pandemic is showing a few signs of slowing down. The Iowa Department of Public Health reports 59 additional deaths from COVID-19 for the week that ended Tuesday (11/28). There was one death in each of Marion, Keokuk and Poweshiek Counties. Iowa’s death total for the pandemic is now 7858. Meanwhile, another 11,234 Iowans tested positive for COVID-19…raising the pandemic total to 574,513. 131 new positive tests have been reported in Jasper County, 109 in Marion County, 103 in Wapello County, 65 in Mahaska County, 54 new positive coronavirus tests in Poweshiek County, 22 in Keokuk County and 17 in Monroe County.
Also, the number of people hospitalized with COVID-19 as of Tuesday is 711—down 36 from a week ago. While the number of people in the intensive care unit is 165—seven more than last week.
