State Representative Dustin Hite of New Sharon announced Friday (12/10) he will run for re-election in 2022. While he will be running to serve in a new district, thanks to redistricting, Hite tells the No Coast Network his goals will not change.
“Making sure that Iowa is a place that people want to live. So that includes addressing some of the needs that we see with child care, with housing, with continuing to expand broadband internet across the state.”
Hite currently represents House District 79, which includes the western half of Mahaska County and the northeastern part of Marion County, including Pella. With redistricting, Hite’s new district will be District 88….that includes most of Mahaska County, all of Keokuk County and parts of Jefferson County.
