Presley Blommers scored 23 points as Oskaloosa’s girls’ defeated Mount Pleasant 62-41 Tuesday night in Oskaloosa. The Indians have won two straight and are now 3-1 on the season. Oskaloosa returns to Little Hawkeye Conference play Friday night at Newton.

Checking boys’ high school basketball, Sigourney got its first victory of the season Tuesday as the Savages won at English Valleys 51-36. Junior Karson Weber had 15 points for the Savages, who are 1-2 overall and in the South Iowa Cedar League. The Savages host Belle Plaine Friday night.
There was an upset as Washington defeated Pella (ranked second in 3A) 82-69.
