Deep Purple recently shared a music video for their cover of Fleetwood Mac’s “Oh Well,” which is featured on the band’s upcoming studio album Turning to Crime.
An album of covers, Turning To Crime is scheduled to release on November 26 via earMUSIC.
The album will also include Deep Purple covers of Bob Dylan, Bob Seger, Cream, Little Beat and The Yardbird songs.
Speaking about the new song, Deep Purple bassist Roger Glover said, “Everyone knows ‘Oh Well’ is a great song. Steve [Morse] did the demo for that one. You never quite know where it’s gonna go with Steve, because he is very inventive. Right up until the point, with a couple of verses in, it was pretty much the same as the original. And then, all of a sudden, it took off like a rocket – in some other space.”
Turning to Crime was produced by Bob Ezrin, who is also the maker of Deep Purple’s previous album Whoosh, released in 2020. It is Deep Purple’s 22nd studio album.
