Also in the high school volleyball playoffs Tuesday, in Class 4A, Indianola defeated Knoxville 3-1.  Indianola will play at Pella Thursday night in the other 4A Region 3 semifinal.  Elsewhere in 4A, Benton eliminated Grinnell 3-0 while Newton advanced with a 3-0 win over Des Moines Hoover.  Newton will play at defending 4A State champions Cedar Rapids Xavier Thursday night.

And in 5A volleyball, Waukee swept Ottumwa three sets to none in Ottumwa.
