Sigourney-Keota’s football team takes on another undefeated opponent Friday night (10/1) when the third-ranked Cobras host Cardinal of Eldon.  The 5-0 Cobras are coming off a 20-13 victory over then-number six Pella Christian last week.  Sigourney-Keota Coach Jared Jensen talks about Cardinal.

“They are undefeated. I think strength of schedule goes to their favor.  I don’t think they’ve played the quality of teams that we have played.  I think we’re battle-tested and they haven’t been tested yet.  This will be their first big test of the year.”

Elsewhere, it’s Homecoming night at Oskaloosa as the Indians host Newton.  Both teams are 4-1 on the season and both are coming off losses last week.  You can hear Oskaloosa and Newton on KBOE-FM; pregame at 7:15 and kickoff at 7:30 from Statesmen Community Stadium.

Because of our high school football commitments, KBOE-FM will not be able to broadcast Friday’s Iowa Hawkeyes game against Maryland.
