Oskaloosa moved into a tie for first place in the Little Hawkeye Conference volleyball race with a three sets to none victory over Indianola Tuesday (9/28) in Oskaloosa. The scores were 25-19, 25-14 and 25-21. One key for the Indians Tuesday was their blocking….with four blocks for points. Senior middle hitter Aubree Blanco was involved in two of those blocks.
“We have been working really hard on that in practice. We have been drilling, each and every one of us. And I’ve been working on that so much and I’m very glad to see that it has been paying off.”
Senior Faith DeRonde had 16 kills for the Indians, who are now 18-4 overall and tied with Pella and Indianola for first place in the conference at 4-1. Osky’s next game is next Tuesday (105) at Pella Christian.
