Queen guitarist Brian May has shared a short film in celebration of the 30th anniversary reissue of his debut solo album, Back to the Light.
“I’ve polished up the three original videos from 1992, but the ‘Back to the Light’ video is brand new – a short film with a story to tell,” May said.
In the short film, May assumes the role of a time traveler, and he tries to pulls off a meeting in time that hasn’t previously been attempted.
May reissued his 1992 debut solo album Back to the Light in remastered digital and physical formats last month. The reissue’s audio supervision was done by Justin Shirley-Smith and Kris Fredriksson. Grammy-winner Bob Ludwig worked from the original restored flat mixes.
“I feel kind of affectionate looking back. Looking back at me 30 years ago, a young man with no idea of the incredible journey that was still to come,” said May.
