Three Oskaloosa Indians are on the Class 4A All-State softball team chosen by the Iowa Girls Softball Coaches Association. Pitcher Faith DeRonde is on the first team, outfielder Maleah Walker on the second team and catcher Olivia Gordon on the third team.
In Class 5A, Ottumwa’s Ashlynn Sheets is on the All-State third team.
In Class 3A, first team honors went to Albia’s Makenna Jones and Knoxville’s Ashley Finarty. Second team honors went to EBF’s Emalee Davis and Megan Lobberecht, Riley Johannes of PCM and Sydney Hoskins of Albia. While Class 3A third team All-State honors go to Emma Lenox of EBF and Brittany Bacorn of Knoxville.
Two Pella Christian players are on the Class 2A All-State softball team: Natalie Harrill on the first team and Emri Agre on the second team.
And in Class 1A, Grace Bailey and Rylee Dunkin of Twin Cedars are both on the 1A first team All-State squad. Second team honors go to Sigourney pitcher Carly Goodwin and Lynnville-Sully pitcher Denali Conover. Getting third team All-State honors are Kaylee Weber of Sigourney, Zoe Duecore of North Mahaska, Ali Mockenhaupt of Twin Cedars and Caitlin Alberts of Lynnville-Sully.
