The pairings for the Iowa high school softball playoffs have been released.  In Class 4A, Oskaloosa hosts Washington in a first round game on July 8.  Also in Class 4A, Pella travels to Grinnell on July 8 and Newton hosts Des Moines Hoover on July 8.

In Class 5A, Ottumwa hosts Iowa City West on July 8.

Moving to Class 1A, Sigourney and Lynnville-Sully have first round byes in Region 5.  The Savages’ first game will be July 7 at home against either English Valleys or Tri-County.  While Lynnville-Sully’s first game is against BGM or HLV on July 7.  First round games in 1A Region 5 are on July 6 with Tri-County at English Valleys, Keota at North Mahaska and Iowa Valley at Montezuma.  In Class 1A Region 3, Twin Cedars will host Moulton-Udell on July 6.

In Class 3A Region 3, EBF hosts Des Moines Christian and Centerville plays at Albia; both those games are July 6.  Class 3A Region 8, PCM plays at Knoxville July 6.

And in Class 2A, Pella Christian has a first round bye in Region 4 and will host either East Marshall or Madrid July 7.  And in 2A Region 7, Pekin plays at Iowa City Regina on July 7.
