Journey members Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain have officially smoothed over the frayed edges between the band and former members Ross Valory and Steve Smith.

Valory and Smith were fired from the band in March of 2020 after allegedly orchestrating an “ill-conceived” coup to take control of the band name to fund their retirement.

Both parties filed lawsuits against each other, which lasted for 13 months before getting resolved on as-yet unrevealed terms.

In an official statement to Rolling Stone, all parties involved announced that they “have resolved their differences and reached an amicable settlement agreement.”

“Neal Schon and Jonathan Cain acknowledge the valuable contributions that both Ross Valory and Steve Smith have made to the music and the legacy of Journey,” the statement continued. “Ross Valory and Steve Smith wish their former bandmates well and much success in the future. Journey looks forward to continuing to tour and make new music for their dedicated fans around the world.”
