Bravettes Coach Janel Burgess talked about playing the two-time defending champs.
“They’re a unique group, aren’t they? They just come at you, they’re just like a little pack of wolves, they keep coming after you. So it’ll be a good challenge for us to be able to evaluate what we need to do to put ourselves in the most valuable and successful positions to succeed. And from there, it’s a game. You never know what’s going to happen. They’ve won many championships. They’re a tremendous program with a tremendous coaching staff. and they do very, very well. So It’ll be fun.”
Montezuma and Newell-Fonda face off at 4pm Friday afternoon at Wells Fargo Arena. KBOE-FM and KBOEradio.com will have live coverage of Bravettes’ State Tournament basketball starting at 3:45.
