The Iowa Girls Coaches Association has announced its All-District basketball teams.  The Class 1A Southeast district team includes Elise Boulton and Dylan Holland of Montezuma, Layla Hargis and Addie Schilling of North Mahaska, Sigourney’s Kaylee Weber, and Cally Gibbs and Reagan McFarland of Lynnville-Sully.  Pella Christian’s Allison Van Gorp is on the Class 2A Southwest district team.  In Class 3A, Maggie Wilkins of Knoxville is on the Southeast district team, with Lilli Baird of PCM on the Southwest district team.  And in Class 4A, Meredith McKnight and Ivey Schmidt of Grinnell and Madison Naig of Pella are on the Southeast district team.

And the South Central Conference has released its boys All-Conference team for the season just ended.  Albia has three players on the first team: Blake Chance, Drew Chance and Brayden Messamaker, with Knoxville’s Kieren Nichols and Spencer Hixson and Ethan Davis of EBF also on the first team.  Second team All-Conference honors go to EBF’s Thane Alexander and Brooks Moore, Albia’s Trey Griffin and Luke Keitges of Knoxville.  While Jared McCrea and Carsen Wade of EBF earned honorable mention, along with Knoxville’s Mike Hudson, Keegan Cox and Noah Keefer.
