It’s one and done for Oskaloosa’s boys’ basketball team. The Indians lost at Washington 49-37 Monday night (2/22) in the quarterfinals of the Class 3A Substate 6 playoffs. Oskaloosa played well in the first half, which ended in a 23-all tie. The Indians were up by four points in the third quarter before Washington went on a 9-0 run that put the Demons ahead after three quarters 32-29. Oskaloosa wasn’t able to get closer than three points in the fourth quarter and Washington made several free throws down the stretch to seal the victory. Junior Keaton Flaherty led Oskaloosa with 18 points. The Indians finish the year with a 2-19 record, but will have all but two players return for next season.
