Washington’s Makenna Conrad hit a three-pointer with ten seconds to play to give the Demons a 38-37 victory over Oskaloosa in the opening round of the Class 4A girls’ basketball Region 5 playoffs Wednesday night (2/17) in Oskaloosa. Osky led 23-17 at halftime, but Washington chipped away at the Indians’ lead and got the late game-winner. Addie Carter had 14 points for Oskaloosa with Presley Blommers adding 13. The Indians end the year with an 8-14 record. Washington will play at Central DeWitt Saturday (2/20) in the Region semifinals.
