Joe Walsh has revealed that “guilt” made him to buy his first Maserati.
During an interview with Rolling Stone, Walsh was asked what percentage of the crazy rock star antics shared in the song “Life’s Been Good” are real?
To which Walsh replied, “I never had a Maserati. I finally got one, because everyone was making me feel really guilty. The look of sadness on their face … so I went and got a Maserati. I don’t know if it does 185. I chickened out at 140.”
The lyrics of “Life’s Been Good” song notes that The Eagles star’s Maserati can do “185”.
“My Maseratti does one-eighty-five. I lost my license, now I don’t drive. I have a limo, ride in the back. I lock the doors in case I’m attacked,” the lyrics of the song go.
Walsh had also ran for President of the United States in 1980, pledging to make “Life’s Been Good” the national anthem.
“Wouldn’t that be good before a football game?” he said jokingly. With Wednesday, I would have just said ‘We’re gonna cancel Wednesday.’ We’re gonna do Tuesday right to Thursday to get to the weekend closer.”
