A history-making wrestler from Eddyville will be enshrined into the Glen Brand Wrestling Hall of Fame of Iowa this coming June.  Megan Black became the first girl to win a match at the Iowa State High School Wrestling meet.  That was in 2012.  Black went on to finish eighth at the tournament, becoming the first girl to place at State.  She went on to become a four-time All-American in college; her first year at King University, the next three at McKendree University.  Black will be inducted June 25, 2021 at the Prairie Links Golf Club in Waverly.
