Bruce Springsteen has released the official trailer for new documentary Letter To You.
Letter to You is an in-depth documentary by Thom Zimny capturing Bruce and the E Street Band recording the rocker’s upcoming album live in studio. Both the documentary and the album are set to release on October 23.
The film is being streamed exclusively on Apple TV, while the album can be heard on Apple Music.
“I’m in the middle of a 45-year conversation with the men and women I’m surrounded by,” Springsteen says in voiceover, referring to his long-time collaboration with his primary backing band.
He adds, “The years of playing together have created an efficiency in the studio. Ideas tumble around the room, confusion often reigns. And then, suddenly, dynamite.”
Springsteen says that the greatest thrill of his life is “standing at that microphone with you guys behind me.”
“The feature-length vérité documentary features full performances from the E Street Band, in-studio footage, never-before-seen archival material, and a deeper look into Letter to You from Springsteen himself,” Apple TV+ said in a press release.
