The high school football playoff pairings for 2020 were released Saturday (10/10). In Class 3A, Oskaloosa will play at Carlisle this Friday night (10/16) at 7 with the winner playing at Dallas Center-Grimes in round two.  You can hear the Indians at Carlisle on KMZN AM & FM this Friday night.

Also in 3A, Pella has a first round bye and will host either North Polk or Winterset in round two on 10/23.

In another 3A pod, Newton is at Grinnell and Knoxville at Ft. Madison. The two winners will meet in round two.

In Class 4A, Ottumwa is at Iowa City High on Friday.

In Class 2A, EBF plays at Tipton with the winner taking on either Central Lee or Mid-Prairie.

Also in 2A, PCM has a first round bye and will host either Clarke or Saydel in round two.

Albia opens the 2A playoffs with a home game against Des Moines Christian.

In Class 1A, Sigourney-Keota has a first round bye. The Cobras will host the winner of Cardinal-Eldon at Pekin in round two on October 23.

Elsewhere in 1A, Pella Christian hosts Hudson in round one and Colfax-Mingo travels to Woodward-Granger.

In Class A first round games, North Mahaska hosts Nodaway Valley and Lynnville-Sully travels to Belle Plaine.

And in 8-man football, Montezuma has a first round bye and will host either Lone Tree or Winfield-Mt. Union, while Tri-County is at BGM in round one.
