The Eagles have released a new live version of the song “Take It Easy,” the rock band’s first ever piece of music.
“Take It Easy” features on the Eagles’ upcoming album Live From the Forum MMXVIII, based on the band’s September 2018 multi-night run at the Forum in Los Angeles.
The 26-song album will be released in both audio and video formats via Rhino on October 16.
Two tracks from the album – “Lyin’ Eyes” and “Hotel California” – have already been released.
“Take It Easy” was a hit song written by Glenn Frey and Jackson Browne in 1972.
Glen Frey’s son Deacon Frey is the lead vocalist in the new version.
Eagles manager Irving Azoff said the band decided to release the video as they were forced to shelve the Hotel California tour due to the coronavirus pandemic.
Live from the Forum MMXVIII, a concert film capturing highlights of the Forum show, premiered on July 4.
