A big win for the Oskaloosa High volleyball team. The Indians swept 12th ranked Pella three sets to none Tuesday night (9/22) in Oskaloosa. The scores were 25-21, 25-22 and 25-18. Osky outside hitter Faith DeRonde talks about the win.
“I think tonight really showed what kind of a team we are. Those last games…our record hasn’t been showing who we truly are lately. But tonight, we really came out and this is the team we really are. This is how we practice, this is how we play and I think it’s only going to go up from here.”
Unofficially, DeRonde had 22 kills along with three service aces, with teammate Maleah Walker adding 12 kills. Bailey VanVoorst had ten kills to lead Pella. Osky improves to 7-4 overall and 2-2 in the Little Hawkeye Conference. Pella is now 11-6 overall and 3-1 in the Conference. Oskaloosa will be in action again Thursday night (9/24) in a four team meet at Southeast Polk.
