It was a tale of two halves for the Oskaloosa High football team in Friday night’s (8/28) season opener. The Indians jumped to a 13-0 start over Dike-New Hartford and led 20-13 at intermission. But it was all Wolverines in the second half as they scored a 47-27 win at Statesmen Community Stadium. Senior quarterback Reed Brown threw two touchdown passes, one to Cale Holmberg and the other to Cooper Spry, and also ran for a score. Andrew Else also ran for an Oskaloosa touchdown. While the Indians outgained Dike-New Hartford 425 yards to 322, Osky also turned the ball over four times and had a punt blocked.
