Oskaloosa High’s new boys’ basketball coach says he’s expecting an easy transition from coaching college players to high schoolers. Brandon Lenhart comes to Oskaloosa after one season as an assistant coach at Division 2 Minot State University. Prior to that, he was an assistant at William Penn University and head coach at McCook Community College. Lenhart talks about the change.
“My belief is that basketball is basketball. And I think everything that you do is relationship-based. I think that you have to develop high-level relationships with everybody that’s involved with the program from top to bottom—your staff, the players, parents, community, the school district.”
Lenhart is a native of Tama and played college basketball at William Penn.
