Two people from the No Coast Network listening area have now been diagnosed with coronavirus. One is a person from Mahaska County aged 41 to 60; the other is an adult from Marion County aged between 18 and 40. There are now four COVID-19 cases in Mahaska County and two in Marion County.
Overall, the latest report from the Iowa Department of Public Health shows an additional 102 cases of coronavirus were reported Tuesday (4/7) for a total of 1048 since the pandemic began last month. 104 Iowans are hospitalized with COVID-19 and 341 people have recovered from the virus. Also, another 1017 people have tested negative for coronavirus, making the statewide total 1117.
One more death from coronavirus has also been reported: a person from Benton County aged 81 or older. This makes 26 deaths in Iowa from the coronavirus.
