The Rolling Stones are the latest musical act to have postponed their performances due to the ongoing coronavirus COVID-19 worldwide pandemic.
The band has postponed their 2020 No Filter Tour of North America. No new dates have been announced as of yet. AEG Presents/Concerts West have asked Rolling Stones ticket holders to keep their original tickets and await further information on rescheduled dates.
The Stones 15-date No Filter Summer Tour was due to kick off in San Diego on May 8 and end in Atlanta on July 9.
“We’re hugely disappointed to have to postpone the tour. We are sorry to all the fans who were looking forward to it as much as we were, but the health and safety of everyone has to take priority. We will all get through this together — and we’ll see you very soon” – wrote Mick Jagger, Keith Richards, Charlie Watts and Ronnie Wood.
Government have restricted mass gatherings to curb the spread of coronavirus, which has resulted in postponement or cancellation of almost all major music, sporting and cultural events.
