A tribute concert in honor of late Rush drummer Neil Peart will be held at the Meridian Centre in his hometown of St. Catharines, Ontario, on May 16.
The legendary drummer of the iconic Canadian rock band died at the age of 67 of brain cancer on January 7.
The event, titled “A Night For Neil,” is being jointly organized by the Peart family, Overtime Angels, Inc., and the City of St. Catharines.
“We are especially pleased to be able to support this charity event that will benefit some much-needed organizations that are close to our hearts,” said Neil’s parents, Glen and Betty Peart.
The producers of the event, Booking House Inc., will bring together a wide array of production professionals, world-class musicians, and guest speakers to pay tribute to Neil’s life and career.
The growing roster of artists and guest speakers will be announced later.
Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, at 10 a.m. and will be available at https://www.ticketmaster.ca/event/ANight4Neil
