Ozzy Osbourne has made a clarification to a previous statement that he is canceling his farewell tour due to health issues.
Osbourne, who was recovering from a fall last year, revealed last month that he was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease.
“Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get to Switzerland for treatment until April and the treatment takes six-eight weeks,” he said Monday.
“Ozzy Osbourne’s 2020 North American ‘No More Tours 2’ has unfortunately been canceled to allow Osbourne to continue to recover from various health issues he has faced over the past year,” read a statement published on the metal icon’s website.
But on Thursday, Ozzy made it clear that his North American dates are not canceled but just postponed.
“I cannot go out on the road, until I’m 100 percent confident that I can pull it off,” he told Radio.com. “If I go out now and I can’t carry on, people are gonna think I’ve lost the plot, ya know.”
“So I’m not gonna go out there until I can give them the show that I want to give them, because it’s not fair to them” he added. “I mean I’ve waited this long. I’m intending on going back out on the road.”
