Stand by for more snow. A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect now until 6pm Wednesday (1/22) for the No Coast Network listening area. Up to two inches of new snow is expected during the day today and it will be a wet snow, so things could get slushy on your drive home late in the afternoon. While the Winter Weather Advisory is in effect today, more snow is expected tonight, Thursday (1/23) and into Friday (1/24). We could get two to three inches of snow Wednesday, with over three inches forecast for northern Mahaska County, most of Jasper County and southern Poweshiek County. The forecast for Thursday and Friday calls for another three to four inches of snow. And with temperatures hovering around freezing, that snow could turn to rain and lead to slippery roads due to re-freezing. Again, a Winter Weather Advisory is in effect through 6pm Wednesday. Keep tuned to the No Coast Network for the latest weather updates.
