Tom Petty’s widow Dana York Petty and his daughters Adria and Annakim Petty have settled a bitter legal dispute over the singer’s estate.
According to legal documents obtained by The Blast, Dana and Tom’s daughters have settled their issues and will drop lawsuits against each other. A filing in the case states, “The parties to the foregoing matters have entered into a settlement.”
Earlier, Petty’s widow claimed that the late singer’s two daughters were attacking members of his group, The Heartbreakers, and refusing to help put out the singer’s unreleased tracks.
A corporation was set up to manage Petty’s estate, with all three women having a say in its management, following the singer’s death in 2017.
The legal dispute apparently blocked the release of a Wildflowers box set in time to coincide with the original album’s 25th anniversary.
Dana said she made plans to launch the collection, but Petty’s daughters from a previous marriage – claimed the time wasn’t right for such a release.
