The Indians were glad to have him back and they went on to defeat Washington 54-52 in Oskaloosa. The Indians jumped out to a 24-10 lead, as Noah Van Veldhuizen scored 14 of his team-high 20 points in the first quarter. Washington fought back to go ahead 31-28 at the half. The game was tied 44 all after three quarters, but Oskaloosa held on for the victory. Iszak Schultz added 15 points for Oskaloosa; Ethan Patterson led Washington with 17 points. Both teams are now 3-2 on the season. Oskaloosa’s next game will be Friday night (12/20) at Newton as part of a boys and girls doubleheader.
