Oskaloosa High’s boys’ basketball team is still looking for its first Little Hawkeye Conference win of the season. The Indians lost at Dallas Center-Grimes Friday night (12/13) 78-60. But Oskaloosa played that game without senior center Xavier Foster, who is sidelined with mononucleosis. His father, Indians assistant coach DaJuan Foster, says Xavier may not play again until after Christmas. Luke Rankin had 29 points to lead Dallas Center-Grimes, while Keaton Flaherty scored 17 for Oskaloosa. The Indians boys are 2-2 overall and 0-2 in the Conference. Oskaloosa will host Washington Tuesday night (12/17). You can hear that game on KBOE-FM.
Oskaloosa’s girls’ also lost on Friday, falling to tenth-ranked Dallas Center-Grimes 68-20. Amanda Fay had eight points to lead the Indians, who are 1-5 overall and 0-2 in the Conference. Oskaloosa’s girls are off until Friday night (12/20), when they play at Newton.
