Paul McCartney’s 2005 children’s book “High In The Clouds” is coming to Netflix. The novel is being adapted as an animated film by Oscar-nominated director Timothy Reckart, featuring original songs and music by the Beatle himself.

The story follows a teenage squirrel Wirral with a big imagination. One day, Wirral links up with a group of sky-dwelling teen rebels led by the tyrannical owl Gretsch, who gets her great singing voice by stealing it from anyone who upstages her.

“I’ve always loved animated films and this is a hugely important passion project for me, I can’t wait for the world to see it,” McCartney says in a statement. “[Netflix] complements what is already an amazing team and we can think of no-one better to be working with to bring our film to a global audience.”
