Dallas Center-Grimes won both the boys and girls team titles Monday (10/14) at the Little Hawkeye Conference cross country meet in Oskaloosa.   In the girls’ race, Grinnell was in fourth place, followed by Pella, Newton, Pella Christian and Oskaloosa.  Grinnell had two top ten runners with Mary Blanchard third and Anjali Jones eighth.  Pella’s Caroline McMartin was fifth and Oskaloosa’s Sage Adam was 32nd.  On the boys’ side, Pella was fourth, followed by Grinnell, Newton, Oskaloosa in seventh place and Pella Christian.  Individually, Isaac Bryant of Grinnell was the runner-up, Jackson Mace-Maynard of Newton was eighth, Josiah Wittenberg of Pella ninth and Patrick DeRonde of Oskaloosa 11^th—all earning all-conference honors.  Next up on the cross country calendar is qualifying for state on October 24.
