The Burnt Orange Heresy, a neo-noir thriller starring Rolling Stones frontman Mick Jagger, Donald Sutherland, Claes Bang and Elizabeth Debicki, is slated to premiere in the closing-slot of the 76th annual Venice International Film Festival this fall.
Directed by Giuseppe Capotondi, the thriller is set in present-day Italy, where art critic James Figueras (Bang) and his lover, Berenice Hollis (Debicki), are assigned the private mission of robbing a Jerome Debney painting from right under his nose by powerful art-collector Cassidy (Jagger).
“As the couple spend time with Debney, they start to realize that nothing about the artist or their mission is what it seems,” the organizers of the festival shared.
Set to kick off on August 28, the festival will run through September 7.
