The Oskaloosa High baseball team opens the Class 3A District 12 playoffs tonight (7/19).  The Indians will host Nevada at 8 at the High School.  You can hear the game on KBOE-FM and KBOE Radio dot com with coverage starting at 7:45 and the first pitch at 8.  Prior to that game, Solon meets Pella Friday night at 6 at Oskaloosa High School.

Also in 3A baseball Friday night: In District 11, Newton is at Marion for a 7:00 game; in District 13, Knoxville plays North Polk in Alleman starting at 8; District 14 in Centerville, Grinnell plays Saydel at 5 and Centerville against Clarke at 7.  And in Class 4A Substate 7, Ottumwa hosts West Des Moines Valley.

Saturday night (7/20), Pekin takes on Iowa Mennonite for the Class 1A District 8 title.  That game will now be played at Iowa Mennonite in Kalona starting at 7 Saturday night.  In 1A District 10 on Saturday, BGM plays HLV for the district title.  And in Class 2A District 10, Pella Christian is at West Marshall for the district title.
