Mick Jagger has said that he is “feeling pretty good” after undergoing heart surgery in March.
“Been rehearsing a lot lately in the last few weeks … This morning [I did] a bit of gym. Nothing crazy. Then I go into rehearsal with the rest of the band,” the Rolling Stones frontman said in his first interview after successful heart valve replacement surgery.
“We’re trying to pick some ones we haven’t done in recent years, stuff we haven’t done before,” he told Toronto radio station Q107.
The 75-year-old rocker underwent a heart valve procedure called a transcatheter aortic valve replacement at a New York Hospital.
Jagger’s illness resulted in the Rolling Stones postponing the North American leg of their No Filter tour.
The band was scheduled to launch the tour on April 20 and continue through July 29. The entire tour was postponed and rescheduled to kick off on June 21 in Chicago.
