Brian Wilson and The Zombies have announced plans to embark on a co-headlining tour of North America this summer.
The Something Great from ’68 tour will kick off on August 31 at the Joint at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, and wrap up on September 26 at the Beacon Theatre in New York City. Tickets go on sale May 10.
Wilson will be joined by former Beach Boys bandmates Al Jardine and Blondie Chaplin. His set will primarily focus on two Beach Boys albums: 1968’s Friends and 1971’s Surf’s Up.
“It’s been quite a year and I’m ready to go out and tour some music that makes everyone have a feel good vibe,” Wilson said in a statement. “The Friends album has always been one of my favorites, and I love the music from that time in history.”
The Zombies will open each show with a full performance of their seminal 1968 record, Odessey and Oracle.
