William Penn University’s basketball teams will be at home tonight (1/10). The Statesmen take on Mount Mercy at Penn Gymnasium with the women’s game at 5:30 and the men’s at 7:30. It’s also dress like a grandparent night.
There’s just one boys’ and girls’ high school basketball doubleheader tonight: Keota hosts Washington. Friday night (1/11), Oskaloosa hosts Pella Christian; we’ll have that game on KBOE-FM and the No Coast Network. Coverage starts at 6 with the girls’ game at 6:15 and the boys’ game to follow around 7:45. On Saturday (1/12), the Indians girls’ will host Washington starting at 6, while the Oskaloosa boys will take on Cedar Rapids Jefferson in the Wells Fargo Advisors Shootout in Cedar Rapids. We’ll have the Oskaloosa boys on KBOE-FM Saturday night with coverage starting around 5:30.
As someone once said Saturday night was all right for fighting, Thursday night is all right for wrestling. Oskaloosa’s wrestlers will be at a triangular meet at Dallas Center-Grimes, with Des Moines Lincoln also in that meet. North Mahaska hosts a four-team meet. Ottumwa hosts Des Moines North. Pella hosts Indianola and Woodward-Granger. Sigourney and Lynnville-Sully are at BGM. EBF and Chariton are at Pleasantville. Montezuma hosts Belle Plaine, Iowa Valley and Moravia. Knoxville, Centerville and Clarke are at Davis County and PCM hosts South Hamilton and Greene County.
