Scott Resigns as William Penn Head Men’s Wrestling Coach

OSKALOOSA — William Penn Athletics Director Aleesha Rabedeaux has announced that Aron Scott has resigned as head coach of the men’s wrestling program.

Scott concludes his seven-year tenure having coached 16 national qualifiers, two qualifying tournament champions, and two All-Americans.  His most successful seasons came in 2021-2022 and 2022-2023 when he guided the Statesmen to fourth-place finishes at the Heart of America Athletic Conference Championships.

Scott was an assistant coach for three season prior to being promoted to head coach.

“We are grateful to Coach Scott for his many contributions and commitment to William Penn,” Rabedeaux said.  “He is a great person and we wish him the best in his future.”

William Penn will begin a national search for a new head coach immediately.
