NORTH MAHASKA GIRLS IMPROVE TO 4-0

North Mahaska Girls Improve to 4-0

VICTOR – North Mahaska improved its record to 4-0 on the season and 3-0 in South Iowa Cedar League play with a 57-22 win at HLV Tuesday. The seventh-ranked Warhawk girls held the Warriors to single-digit scoring in every quarter including a 1-point third period.

North Mahaska led 17-9 after the first quarter and increased the advantage to 30-15 at half. The Warhawks collected 13 steals, but also turned the ball over themselves 14 times.

Nine players scored in the contest for North Mahaska. Kayla Readshaw and Breckyn Schilling led the way with nine points apiece. Regan Grewe scored eight, Sydney Andersen seven and Libby Hargis, Nataliya Linder and Carly Lake each had six points.

Linder led the rebounding effort with eight. Readshaw and Andersen each pulled down five. Readshaw was the assist leader with three and Grewe had three steals.

No statistics were available for HLV at press time.

North Mahaska will put its undefeated record on the line Friday when they host rival Lynnville-Sully. HLV falls to 2-2 on the season.
