LOU REED'S FINAL SOLO ALBUM 'HUDSON RIVER WIND MEDITATIONS' TO BE RELEASED ON VINYL

Lou Reed’s Final Solo Album ‘Hudson River Wind Meditations’ To Be Released On Vinyl

Lou Reed’s final solo album, Hudson River Wind Meditations, is set to be released on vinyl for the first time in January.

Hudson River Wind Meditations is the twentieth and final solo studio album by Reed. It was initially released in April 2007 by Sounds True.

Hal Willner and Reed produced the album, a collection of meditational music intended to relax the body, mind and spirit, adjunct to Tai chi and bodywork. It is a departure from his regular rock output.

Helmed by Seattle independent label Light In The Attic, in conjunction with the Lou Reed Archive and Reed’s wife, Laurie Anderson, the vinyl will drop on January 12. The album is not currently available on streaming platforms.

Meanwhile, the new vinyl package comes with remastered audio, liner notes from yoga instructor Eddie Stern, and an unreleased interview with Anderson. Deluxe versions of the vinyl will also come with five 8×10 photographs of New York City’s Hudson River by Reed himself.
