Hawkeyes Topple Panthers, Clark Breaks School Record

CEDAR FALLS — The third-ranked Iowa women’s basketball team came away with a 94-53, win against the UNI Panthers on Sunday afternoon inside a sold-out McLeod Center. Iowa improved to 3-0 on the season.

All-American Caitlin Clark registered a game-high 24 points to surpass Megan Gustafson (2015-19) as the all-time scoring leader with 2,813 career points. Gabbie Marshall scored her first points of the season bucketing a season-high 17 points going 6-12 from the field and 5-10 from three.

Iowa came out on top from the start closing out the first with a, 20-11 lead despite shooting 36.8% from the field. The Hawkeyes rallied through the second going into halftime with a commanding, 40-25 lead.

The Hawkeyes had a big third quarter, outscoring the Panthers, 35-16 going 6-of-7 from deep. Marshall sunk three from the arch with Clark, Kylie Feuerbach, and Hannah Stuelke each netting one a piece.

Clark registered her first triple double of the season with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 11 assists. Stuelke also finished in double digits finishing with 17 points. Iowa out rebounded UNI 53-31.
