OMS Track Meet at South Tama
The Oskaloosa 7th and 8th grade girls took on the April weather for a track meet in South Tama. The temperatures were almost ideal to start the meet but by the time the meet was halfway done the cold weather kicked in. Both the 7th and 8th grade teams performed and competed to the best of their abilities. The Osky 7th grade team had a 4th place finish and many relays shined bright despite the frigid temps. Our 4×800 (Audree Cheney, Presley Bloomers, Isabelle Larson, and Maleah Walker) meter relay took a 1st place finish along with our 4×400 team (Presley Bloomers, Audree Cheney, Kaia Cook, and Maleah Walker). The second place finishes included the 4×200 meter relay (Kaia, Audree, Lucy Roach, and Maleah) and the 1500 meter run by Presley. The 3rd place finishes included high jump by Lilly McKay, long jump by Maleah, 100 meter dash by Kaia, and the 800 meter run by Maddy Moorman.
Osky Girls’ Soccer Vs. Ottumwa
The Oskaloosa girls’ soccer team was able to shake off some tiredness from Prom weekend and dealing with a chilly night to earn a 6-0 victory against the Ottumwa Bulldogs. The win moves the Indians to 3-1 on the season.
The Indians will be back in action tonight against Centerville with a double header with the boys’ team. The girls are slated for a 5:30 PM start time in Centerville.
