Rock & Roll Hall of Fame legends U2 have announced they will release a new album, Carnaval De Luz, on November 13th, and also shared a new track “Silencio” along with a music video.

The 12-track Carnaval De Luz, produced by Jacknife Lee, includes a duet – “Torn” – with the late country superstar Dolly Parton. The song is described in a release as “what has sadly turned out to be her last recorded vocal performance.”

Carnaval De Luz arrives in U2’s 50th year. The record features collaborations from Brian Eno, Martin Garrix, and Daniel Lanois with additional production from Ryan Tedder on “Silencio.”

“It’s a messy, provocative, sacred collection of songs — and features the first-ever use of flat-wound strings on a U2 recording. Just saying,” U2 guitarist The Edge said.

Vocalist Bono added, “Roll up, roll up, roll up! Bring your purple socks, your broken hearts, your rose-tinted naivety… oh be amazed in the hall of mirrors. There will be loud guitars, deep bass, some ecstatic rhythms and, yes, some silver tears will make an appearance!

“Cause in the near distance just outside our carnival of light there are all kinds of creatures… the same imagination that brings us our creativity can also bring us monsters. So we make the drums louder. We build a bigger fire. We make our stories wilder and funnier. We make the melodies sweeter and the songs, they better shine, because if the world is in darkness we better not be.”

The Cliqua-directed music video for “Silencio” was shot in Mexico City.

U2 previously released “Street of Dreams” from the upcoming 16th studio album, which is their first record in nine years. The album will be available in various formats.
