Oskaloosa City Council to Review Proposed 911 Operations Changes

By Sam Parsons

The Oskaloosa city council is set to host their next regular meeting tonight. The council will consider approving updates to the city’s strategic plan. They will also hold a discussion surrounding 911 Operations Board policy terms, in which police chief Ben Boeke will present proposed changes to the Mahaska County 911 28E agreement, which was first established in 1988. No formal action will be taken, but if the council determines the policy terms to be acceptable, they’ll begin the process of working with other cities in Mahaska County towards a final draft.

Tonight’s meeting will begin at 6:00 PM in the Oskaloosa City Hall council chambers.
