RHINO'S QUADIO REISSUES ALBUMS BY AMERICA, HOT TUNA, WAR & JEFFERSON STARSHIP

Rhino’s Quadio Reissues Albums By America, Hot Tuna, WAR & Jefferson Starship

Rhino’s Quadio has reissued four albums by America, Hot Tuna, WAR and Jefferson Starship.

The reissues include America’s Hearts (1975), Hot Tuna’s America’s Choice (1975), WAR’s Why Can’t We Be Friends? (1975) – a previously unreleased quadraphonic mix – and Jefferson Starship’s Spitfire (1976).

Each disc pairs the original quadraphonic mix with a hi-res 192 kHz/24-bit stereo transfer, both sourced from the original analog four-track quad master tapes.

Available exclusively through Rhino.com and select Warner Music Group stores worldwide, each title lists for $24.98, or $79.98 as a four-disc bundle.

Hearts was America’s second album with producer George Martin, continuing a successful partnership that spanned six studio releases. It featured two of the band’s biggest hits, the No. 1 single “Sister Golden Hair” and “Daisy Jane.” The album reached No. 4 on the Billboard 200 and went Platinum.

America’s Choice was Hot Tuna’s fifth album, recorded in 1974 and released in 1975. The album is the first of the Rampage trilogy albums recorded by the now power trio.

WAR’s Why Can’t We Be Friends? reached the Billboard Top 10. The Gold-certified album produced two Top 10 singles: “Low Rider” and the title track.

Spitfire was Jefferson Starship’s third consecutive Platinum album, peaking at No. 3.
