A new Ozzy Osbourne documentary, Ozzy: No Escape From Now is set to premiere on Paramount+ on October 7 in the U.S. and internationally (excluding Japan).
BAFTA Award-winner Tania Alexander directed the two-hour movie, produced by the Osbourne family – Ozzy, his wife Sharon, and their children Aimee, Jack and Kelly.
In a new two-minute trailer for the documentary, Ozzy is seen saying, “The thing about getting older, you know, I used to take pills for fun. Now I take them just to stay alive.”
“He was in hospital for weeks. To fall like that and not be able to bounce back like he had in the past, and then having to cancel the tour – that was his biggest heartbreak,” Aimee says about her dad’s fall.
The film details the series of corrective surgeries Ozzy endured following the accident, the health issues he suffered after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease as well as the mental and physical impact of the chronic pain on the music he made in the years after.
No Escape From Now also documents Osbourne’s decision to play a final farewell show in his hometown of Birmingham on July 5, just weeks before he died on July 22 at the age of 76.
