Mahaska County Historical Society invites you a fundraising event for the Daniel and Margaret Nelson house at Nelson Pioneer Farm and Museum on Thursday, April 2oth. Doors open at 6:30 pm and the event will feature extraordinary decorations, elegant desserts, and engaging entertainment.

The table decorations and desserts are donations from throughout the community. Judge for yourself the best, most colorful, craziest, or most elegant table. Let your taste buds do the judging on the yummy desserts. Door prize drawing at the end of the evening.

The program, presented by Rusty Corder of Soap Creek Productions, is about the U.S. Naval Armed Guard during World War II who were responsible for the safety of the U. S. troop transports on all battlefronts. 1940s clothing is encouraged. You can have a vintage photograph taken.
