MOTLEY CRUE'S VINCE NEIL SAYS HE 'HAD TO LEARN TO WALK AGAIN' AFTER SUFFERING STROKE

Motley Crue’s Vince Neil Says He ‘Had To Learn To Walk Again’ After Suffering Stroke

Motley Crue’s Vince Neil says he “had to learn to walk again” after suffering a stroke.

In a recent interview, the Motley Crue frontman revealed that he suffered a stroke the day after Christmas last year, forcing the band to postpone their Las Vegas residency.

“I had a stroke. My whole left side went out. I had to learn to walk again, and that was tough. The doctors said they didn’t think I’d be able to go back on stage again. I go, ‘No, no, I’m gonna do it. Watch and see,'” he told The Las Vegas Review Journal.

Neil added that after the incident, he had to go through a “required medical procedure,” including months-long physical therapy at his home in Nashville and was able to regain his strength.

“I went from people carrying me to the bathroom, because I couldn’t walk myself, finally to a wheelchair,” Neil says. “I graduated to a walker, and then I had a cane. Now I don’t need anything. But it’s like a full-time job getting back to where you feel good again.”

“It’s been tough, but I’m back, I’m 90-, 95-percent to where I was before, and it’s going to be great,” he adds.

Neil returned for his first performance after suffering the stroke in August with his solo band.

Motley Crue opened their 10 show-residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM on Friday.
