OFFBEAT NEWS:
Funeral Stopped After Body Mix Up Discovered
As if losing a family member isn’t enough of a shock, imagine finding out the funeral home had mixed up the bodies? That’s what happened to a family in Austria when they noticed the wrong body was about to be cremated.
It turns out their loved one had been buried three days early in the wrong plot. Apparently, funeral home staff “had not taken proper notice of the toe tags.” Oops.
In the end, the apologetic funeral home dug up the coffin that had been buried up and the men were switched and laid to rest in their rightful places.

Woman Finds A Diamond In Her Egg
Sally Thomson found some bling in her breakfast. The English woman had bitten in to a hardboiled egg when she felt something hard. To her shock, a small diamond had fallen onto her plate.
It’s believed the chicken that laid the egg had eaten the gem. What’s more surprising, 39-year-old Thomson had the ritzy breakfast the week before her bachelorette party and just a few months before her wedding.

Snake Gets Loose Mid Flight
For a group of passengers flying on a commuter plane in Alaska, “Snakes of a Plane” became a documentary. About 15-minutes into the trip, the cabin crew announced a pet snake had gotten loose.
“Almost right away after that announcement a boy who was sitting with his mother in the last row found the snake hidden behind his seat,” passenger Anna McConnaughy remembers. “The flight attendant and the pilot took control over the situation right away.”
Ravn Alaska airlines says bringing the serpent on board violates their company policy but it’s unclear if anyone is going to face charges. Regardless, the plane made it to Anchorage on time.

STUPID CRIMINALS:
Woman arrested after toddler shoots out car window:
Abbie Maldonado arrived at Good Shepherd Academy in Deltona, Florida with two things in her car: a three-year-old and a loaded gun. When she left the car, and the weapon, to go pick up her son from inside the school, she heard a bang in the parking lot but didn’t realize what had happened: the toddler had picked up the loaded gun and shot out the car window. Luckily, no one was hurt, but Maldonado was charged with child neglect.
Police bigwig arrested for tweeting while driving:
Australian Police Minister Troy Grant is using the same excuse plenty of criminals use: they didn’t know what they were doing was wrong. Grant is in hot water for tweeting a picture of a sheep inside the truck of the car in front of him, without realizing using your phone while behind the wheel is a crime. He claims he was stationary and stuck at a road work site, but Grant still turned himself in. The policeman had to pay a $250 fine.
